GQAdonis is a screen name that I have had since the earliest days of MSN way back in 1998 or so. I selected it as a screen name at the time for three reasons:
- I have always had an interest in Greek mythology, and I considered Adonis a particularly interesting character.
- All the screen names I tried to choose seemed to be taken already, and I figured no one else would be cocky enough to select the name of an extraordinarily beautiful mythological figure as a screen name.
- I love to dress well, which accounts for the “GQ” part.
I have found the second reason to hold on many occasions, and the name has stuck ever since. Too bad, Adonis was pretty stupid as Greek Gods go. He was originally a human who, after being warned in advance that his life was in danger from a God disguised as a wild boar, decided to go on a hunt anyway only to be killed by his prey. I guess beauty and brains don’t always mix.

Hey GQ,
I am developing a mojoportal website that will probably use a REST service to send ical (calendar) files to users.
I saw your posts with the mojoportal author and was wondering if you ever got anywhere with your REST implementation?
Thanks
Steve
Hey, Steve!
Sorry it took a bit to respond, but I did not end up getting anywhere with mojoportal, because I started using Orchard CMS, which is an open source system from Microsoft instead.
