User Interface Design for Windows Phone 7

This morning, I happened across some great UI Design blogs specific to Windows Phone development. Jeff Wilcox, the creator of the award winning 4th and Mayor Windows Phone application has a great blog entry covering Metro Design. While I don’t do a lot of Windows Phone development, it is one of the platforms we support at CloudMetal Software.

This blog entry talks a lot about Metro Design, and this one has some more technical examples.

Tutorials On Using Adobe Fireworks for Web and Prototyping

This article discusses where to find useful tutorials on how to leverage Adobe Fireworks to create web designs and user interfaces for mobile applications. Fireworks seems to be a tool more specific for use in application prototyping than Photoshop. The tutorials that caught my eye are the following:

This will allow me to create quick prototypes and convert them to demos running live on devices. Eventually, I will find a method for hooking directly into a file format produced by Fireworks or some other tool to directly generate efficient code for the real appellation by adding some metadata.
